So this week a 3 month old baby in our community passed away. While i did not know the parents or the baby I weighted heavy on my heart since my baby is only a month younger. The thing the c.o.d. was S.I.D.S. Either way it was heartbreaking to me.SO I cuddled all my kids more than normal. This is a few pics i took of my kids..

happy homemaker monday

The weather in my neck of the woods: cool and sunny
One of my simple pleasures silence

On my TV:  nothing
On the menu for tonight: no fry crunchy chicken
On my To Do List: clean the house

Lesson learned the past few days: communication is a key part of a marriage..

. On my Prayer List:my friend Crissy and her baby , me and the hubby ,
Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses: Ephesians 5:22-33
22Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. 23For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.  25Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26to make her holy, cleansing[b] her by the washing with water through the word, 27and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 28In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church— 30for we are members of his body. 31"For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh."[c] 32This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. 33However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

so my mommy moment this week is actually two moments tied together.. a few weeks ago my husband decided to make us breakfast, the menu was biscuits and gravy ,eggs and pancakes. MY husband made it all up and most was wonderful.. that being said on ta part two . my 2 yr old son has P.I.C.A.  . I have to constantly be on the watch for him putting things in his mouth.. we were at the park playing and he had a hand full of rocks headed for his mouth and i said " GUS drop em.. we dont eat rocks!! to which my 3 yr old says ..but YOU ate daddy's rocks the other day..-- OK im goin Paul Harvey on you here is the "REST" of the story.daddy didn't use self rising flour he used all purpose and those hockey pucks.. oops i mean biscuits could have broken a tooth .. he said these things are hard as you guessed it.. ROCKS!!  Then i got to explain why i was "eating daddy's" rocks to the old lady giving me the evil eye as her grandchildren who were 10 and older torment and run around crazily on a toddler play ground , where the sign says ages 2-5 ,parent supervision is REQUIRED!!well im off to tackle my HUGE to do list. I wish "daddy" was on that..lol.. oh well . Have a great Monday y'all.

What's your most favorite part of your home?

Is it a special readin nook?
Is it the broom closet you hide in ?

Is it your drawer pulls in the kitchen that took 34 years to re-do?

What's your most favorite part of your home.

What makes you smile.
my most favorite room in the house is MY sewing room, It contains my yarn stash, my crochet pattern collection, my sewing machine and all my cloth diaper making supplies and the BEST part.. NO KIDS ARE ALLOWED in there. for any reason there is a lock on both the inside and outside(up where kids cant lock momma in) of the door. i can disappear in to my own little world and it is ok..they know me there.. sorry i dont have a pic ..it is a mess right now anyways. the hot water heater access is in there and we had pipe bust so it is not very organized right now everthing had to be bagged up and just piled in the corner till they can get
that pipe fixed and the wall closed back up one day hopefully i get a pic of it.

works for me wednesday

So this is what is working for me .. I buy sponges at the Dollar tree 6 of them with the green scrubbies on them for a DOLLAR!! when I get home before I use one i cut it up in to four pieces and then use the smaller pieces when i wash dishes or the stove.. It makes the six sponges last longer. YES Im cheap .. I have 3 kids age 3 and under and we are a one income family whose income comes from a SLOW Construction industry.I cloth diaper and make my own laundry soap and clip coupons like crazy to save money. we also buy in bulk and when i cook something that can be frozen and reheated  i make a double batch to freeze for laterand if any of you mommies have cloth diapers you want to give away or sell really cheap. let me know i have 2 kids in diapers.just email me. .so that is what works for me.. hope you are all having a good 'HUMP day..

Cooking Thursday

Check out Diary of a Stay at Home Mom for more great recipes.

So last week I made sloppy Joes and i m lazy so i we have them a lot so this time i decided to spice them up a little , I chopped up a onion and put it in a pan with some fresh sliced mushrooms and bell peppers and cooked them with EVOO unless they were done , then mixed the veggies in with my  browned hamburger meat and sauce . Every one really liked it and i had some left overs. So today for lunch i got them out and warmed it up , put it on a tortilla shell , covered it with cheese and chili Frito's and YUMMY .. So there is two for one. out of something SO easy to make.. I mean who cant make sloppy joes.

Making your home sing Mondays
So my house is a WRECK..I had noble intentions of starting my spring cleaning this weekend but we went out to my mother in laws Friday night and ended up staying , she lives about 45 minute drive away  and we have a bedroom there. She kept the older two kids in her room she has a crib and the other kid sleeps in her bed with her.(she is single and lives alone) and the baby slept in "our" room on her travel sleeping thing we have over there. so i got to sleep in Saturday morning.YAY.. and nothing got done at home, Sunday it was a cold , dury day and rained and i didn't feel good so again nothing go done . I hope I feel better Monday morning and can get something done (yes i am writing this on Sunday night so i have time to get it done)I and HATING this STUPID time change and so are the kids.. not adjusting well. also my washer quite. we have a spare but hubby has to hook it up and we dont have the money or the supplies to get them to do that unless we move it in where the old washer is up the stairs.. (we just put a addition on and the new washer and dryer are in the new utility room and the old washer is still in the old part of the house so Ive been carrying wet laundry to the utility room to dry them .) so maybe i can get my home to sing. right now it is on strike..
