making your home sing monday
this weekend we got the rest of our closet shelving installed so now i have to re hang all the laundry up that is my to do list for tomorrow. We also got the yard mowed. it was starting to look like a jungle in the back..Lucky we didn't find any unwanted animals.. Although we did find sissy's long lost tricycle..YOU MIGHT BE A REDNECK IF.. comes to mind.. SO that is what is making my home sing .Getting things finished up on our add-on. I will be SO glad when we are done moving stuff from room to room and it all has its own place. AND hubby finally went and had "THE TALK" with his sisters so maybe that is settled for a while. I have really been lead to go talk to her myself and try to mend the bridge so to say, FIND out what it is i have done to make her dis like me so much and apologize so we can just move forward and begin to be a WHOLE family and treat each other with respect and like adults should..what do you think should i or just leave it alone and be good with her ignoring me?

Building bridges is always better and sometimes all it takes is a little communication. Sometimes it's all just a misunderstanding, or someone inferring an intent that you didn't intend.
ReplyDeleteSome people expect you to know what it was you did that upset them, and may not even tell you what you did. But you can at least say I'm sorry I didn't mean to hurt you and maybe that'll help! Thanks for linking up today.
I had to mend some bridges a couple of months ago, and I'm glad I did. We are now friends again. Sometimes even though the person hurt us, we need to step forward and ask for forgiveness for whatever they think you did or just for being bitter and not speaking to them which is what I did.
ReplyDeleteBridges are never fun. We're about to cross one ourselves with DH's ex-wife. But they are necessary, and you can be proud of yourself for taking that first step. Just know that if the other person is not responsive, it is not your fault. Some people just can't stand not having any drama.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the other comments...Plus 1Peter 3:11 in the second part of that verse says to "let him seek peace and pursue it" so I say, pursue it kiddo. Oh and Romans 12:18 says, If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all" So make the effort and if it fails, you have done what you could do! Relationships always ALWAYS take work.....yup, they really do!
ReplyDeleteps. my link for this monday thingy is at my spindlecottage blog which is not my nannykim blog. So it is here: http://spindlecottage.blogspot.com
