my home is kinda singing.. the kids room is a MESS.. with all the new toys not having a home yet and the old ones forgotten. the rest of the house is back to normal. tree is down and decorations boxed back up and in the shed.. now we are frantically working to get moved in to the new addtion before baby ellie arrives in teh next few weeks..
I always used Christmas and birthdays as a time for them to sort through their toys and get rid of things they weren't playing with. I always said we needed to make room for the new toys or we couldn't buy any as there wasn't room. They could clearly see there wasn't room so that helped.
