Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday. In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too.
Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!
My question this week is..
TO any of you who have or had have four year old do they get increasingly more smart mouthed as they get older or is this like a terrible two's and just a phase? Ive had to whip and ground my normally GOOD kid like crazy this week..
my son is now 3 and I have noticed a lot of changes when he was 2. I guess, 3 to 4 is just a very busy phase for us as a parents...
ReplyDeleteOkay, now I am scared. My son is 2 1/2 and I sure hope it all gets better from here and not worse.
ReplyDeleteoh we don't have kids yet, but i wish you best of luck with that and hope it's just a phase!
ReplyDeleteAloha!
LOL - Just wait until your child starts kindergarten! My oldest son is in first grade now and the zingers get more interesting as he "learned" things from classmates. I am bracing since my youngest is way more "fun" than his big brother and going to be three in a month. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteLOL ~ Well, I'm an older Diva Mom and my kids are now 30 and 31 :)) (But I love bloggin with all you young moms too!) Seems like the terrible two's was the smarty mouth time and then tapers off . . . that is until maybe the teens???!!! Truly though, they grow up so fast and then you look ans see these most amazing wonderful adults and what good people they have become and your heart fills with such joy and pride and love!!! Enjoy them while they're young! Happy Friday! :)
ReplyDeleteI myself think they go through phases but if they like the negative attention then they may keep this going however it normally gets better until they reach their teen years and then oh boy watch out that is where i am now
ReplyDeleteThey definitely go through phases - their 'smart mouth' ways tend to change with how they approach their testing of the boundaries. I always joked when Princess Nagger was 6, she was in the 'Terrible Twos times Three' stage. ;) She's now 7 and while not as 'bad' as she was, still has her moments. I'm not looking forward to when she reaches the tween and teen years - still looking for that 'pause' button! ;)
ReplyDeleteMy boys are 7 and 13...yes, they will get more smart mouthed older they get...and they will develop brand new ways to be difficult, lol.
ReplyDeleteThey get more smart mouthed the older they get.
ReplyDeletesorry I can't help! My oldest is 2 1/2
ReplyDeleteAs a mother of a three year old, I hope this is just a phase!
ReplyDeleteIt changes, but yes they keep getting smarter, but at a certain point they learn what gets them into trouble and what makes people laugh and go for the latter. :)
ReplyDeleteMy niece is 4 and is getting louder by the day, i think that might be to compete for attention from her big brother and sister though!
