So here is my question for this week..Has anyone had issues with their baby not being able to keep down breastmilk? and IF so what did you do to get them to be able to keep it down or did you just switch to formula?
a blog about my life as a cloth diapering mommie to my rowdy brood of kids..
We didn't have those issues thankfully. I know my sister had some issues and quit the first week...too stressful for her.
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
Sorry I can't be of help, no kids but Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteIt's been almost 20 years since I nursed a baby, but I have a little tip that might help you: burp the baby before you nurse! Seriously, sometimes mine would give me a hard time and I would do that, and then they'd be happy. If there's a bubble in baby's tummy, it could push the milk right out. I'm sure you are already watching what you eat, but if this keeps up, please talk to your pediatrician.
ReplyDeleteSwitch to formula Mistie. My daughter didn't have exactly the same problem, (hers was lack of breastmilk). It scared us to death though because her baby was not thriving so as soon as she switched to formula. Sometimes I believe there is such a push on breast milk and people are forgetting what the baby is happy with. Try formula! Just my 2 cents worth today...
ReplyDeleteOops my last post had a few errors. I just wanted to tell you that as soon as she took him off breastmilk and switched to formula he was gaining weight and healthy!
