An Island Life

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday. In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too.

Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

My question this week is..?
My husband and I have had a rough patch and are trying to be more active in our church and trying to get a closer walk with the big man upstairs so what couples devotions or bible study's  do you all recommend.. we had started the love dare but never finished it. Ive also heard good things about the five languages of love?

  1. First and foremost...turning to the Lord will help your marriage so much! I have been told to read the book of John over and over again together. My husband and I actually attended a marriage retreat in November through our church which was totally AMAZING! I highly recommend trying to find something like that through your church or another church close by. At this retreat...they gave us the book..."The Four Seasons of Marriage" great book. Good luck!

  2. The love languages is a good one because it showes what works for you as a person and what works for him, and will take sacrifice to do the things that are his love languages and vice versa.
