couples devotion suggestions?

So My husband and I are new in our walk with the lord together.. Ive been a christian for a few years but never have taken the time for a daily bible reading or study time. we pray sometimes . but with the recent rough patch in our marriage Im looking for a couples devotion or study we can do together and hope it helps us get back where we were.. WE have done the " love dare" and never made it all the way through so we are goin to restart that as soon as i can find our book.. What do y'all suggest. ???

  1. I don't have a suggestion for a couples devotion or study, but I do have a suggestion for Bible reading. My husband and I used to pray through a portion of Scripture together. We would read one verse, talk about it, then pray that verse for ourselves and our children. I would also encourage you to read every day. You can read a chapter, or a half of a chapter, ask the Lord to help you understand and apply it to your life. I have been SO blessed to learn about the Lord through the Bible. He was SO good to leave a guide book for us. I have also heard it described as His love letter to us. Keep on! Praying for you, Mrs. Mommie!

  2. My husband and I about once a week listen to a sermon together on line. Our favorite is Mark Driscol from Mars Hill Church in Seattle. He has excellent solid biblical teaching. The messages are about an hour long, but it's well worth the time.

Email me and I would love to give you other ideas too!
